Stephann Sahmkow

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Stephann came to Canada in 2014 and has since fallen in love with the country, its people, and its landscape. He is currently completing a double major in Political Science and Economics at Concordia University, in Montreal.

Stephann volunteers for numerous different organizations. Over the past years, he has been actively involved with the United Nations Association in Canada, where he has served both as a volunteer for their events and as organizer for the 2017 Canadian International Model United Nations, taking placein Ottawa. He is also the Co-Director and Treasurer for the Concordia International Relations Society and was recently chosen as the Vice-President of External Affairs for the University’s Political Science Association.  Finally, Stephann recently joined as the Assistant Program Manager for the Canadian Center for Strategic Studies, a research center that focuses on matters of defense and foreign policy.

Stephann’s involvement with Generation Screwed started in January of this year. Having been very dedicated to the cause, he was quickly appointed Quebec Regional Coordinator. As a Regional Coordinator, Stephann will be working to implement some innovative solutions in terms of academic strategies to grow the movement within the province.
